(I'm bumping this up in case anyone missed it earlier in the week. Charlie's not the only one who objects to the BCN's lack of journalistic integrity.)
Rumors, hearsay, speculation -- not what most people would call the basis of a hard news story. But that didn't stop the Bryan County News from running a "news story" using just those features in last Saturday's paper. Not one credible, on-the-record source for your story on the "rumored" recall attempt on Dennis Seger! Come on, BCN! We know you miss your girl Sallie, but can't you use just a little objectivity on the news side? Of course, when you are writing an ode to Sallie every week it may be hard to recognize real news through your tears.

This fish wrapper continues to try to manipulate public opinion by printing news items colored to favor the good ol boy political system running Bryan County. Yellow journalism at its best. The newly elected BOE members has upset this system so retaliation is in order.
Stand your ground BOE.

Well I can’t believe they printed all those negative
comments in the BCN this week...... because
when I tactfully pointed out that they need a better proofreader because there is a tremendous amount of misspellings... Mr. Editor told me via the blog
that they do their best.... If the BCN cannot be professional enough to want to have their words spelled correctly ... why would they want to be professional and not be bias in their reporting!!!!!!
