Eastwooding or Americaning

Take Me To Post Comment Form

The appearance of Clint Eastwood at the RNC turned out to be much more than a Hollywood gimmick to get votes. At 82 years old, appearing weathered and feeble, talking to an empty chair, no teleprompter, most felt like "Dirty Harry" had dove in over his head. The truth is "Jose Wales" or "Pale Rider" dove in over most of OUR heads!

Not effective and pitiful, I think not. His appearance is still getting attention on the national media, but I wonder if his message is. "OVER our heads? You bet! This 82 year old patriot reminded us all on the biggest stage of all that WE OWN THIS COUNTRY! Elected officials work for US! Politicians are OUR employees. If they can't get the job done, FIRE them and hire someone that will work for US, THE EMPLOYER.

These truths seem to get lost soon after elections and political performance is often forgotten prior to re-elections. Don't just vote with a conscience....vote with a memory.

Thank-you Mr. Eastwood for making my day and calibrating our compass.

Seafood Festival
October 16, 2010
While watching workmen erect the portable stage to be used by the bands playing at our Annual Seafood Festival, I couldn't help but wonder if our $800,000.00 (or so) amphitheater would get in the way of the audience. Come on Mayor, City Council, do something that will allow our "investment" ...
