To those who have not made up their minds about the candidates running for city council, I don't think there is a better qualified candidate running for his post than Kevin Artz. Kevin is not only a nice young man, he is a highly educated man (degree in Political Science, minor in English and History) with strong ties to this community.

Kevin gives back to the community by offering his services as a little league softball coach and has the drive and determination to bring Richmond Hill city government out of the generations of "I'll scratch your back, if you'll scratch mine" mentality. In other words, he is NOT ONE OF THE GOOD OLE BOYS and will be the voice of reason on city council.

For those with children in school, Kevin Artz understands that for the school system to retain its excellent academic reputation that city and county leaders can no longer afford to ignore the input of the Board of Education regarding development. Overcrowded schools with children in portables because the school system can't keep up due to poorly managed growth by both city and county governments should not happen in Bryan County.

An Honest Politician
July 05, 2008
On my way to the grocery store today, I came across what I thought was a truly rare and possibly extinct creature, a honest politician. I know what you’re thinking, no such thing. My conversation with this politician started with him telling me about his family, his experiences in the ...

P&Z Makes Right Call on Murphy Project
October 11, 2007
While P&Z made the right call, what many people don't know is that the County Commissioners can set aside P&Z's recommendation and approve the project. Therefore, the fight to preserve our rural, non-commercial way of life in South Bryan is not over. As you may recall, P&Z recommended against River ...
