Description: If you love bass fishing, here’s a chance to toss out a line and maybe even take home a prize of up to $100. It’s the Canoochee River Bass Tournament, being held from 6:30 a.m. until noon March 23. The catch-and-release, five-fish limit tourney will be on the river at Training Area Charlie 18, Landing 1B on Stewart. Every registered participant will receive a T-shirt. Tournament is open to Stewart/Hunter fishing pass and permit holders only and will be limited to the first 25 boats registered. Boat motors allowed. Scores determined by total weight. Early bird registration (now-March 15) is $20 for military ID cardholders and $35 for civilian community; regular registration (March 16-22), is $25 for military ID cardholders and $40 for civilian; and late registration (March 23, 5:30-7 a.m.), is $30 for military ID cardholders and $45 for civilian community.
